Structural design
From the needs of the building to the construction choices
Structural design defines the system that supports a building and determines how it behaves. Every choice must answer to the character of the work, its intended use and the conditions of the place where it is built.
For new buildings we develop the structural design in relation to the architectural and functional requirements. On existing buildings we start from knowledge of the building itself: configuration, materials, alterations and the documentation available guide the assessments and the possible solutions.
From the first analysis to the construction drawings, we work so that the design can become clear instructions for the site. Dialogue with the other disciplines makes it possible to deal with clashes in time and to assess the consequences of the construction choices.
